HBCUs Abroad in Ghana

Welcome to HBCUs Abroad - Where Learning Never Ends

At HBCUs Abroad, we believe that learning is a continuous process that should never end. Your professional development program in Ghana will focus on:

Social Innovation and Entrepreneurial Leadership. 

Students will be assigned in groups to different local companies and will spend most of the time working on pre-assigned projects and operational tasks as assigned. This is a great opportunity for business-minded students to network, enhance their resume and soft skills, and gain real skills in a developing economy. This program offers a comprehensive balance of career development and unforgettable cultural discovery, from visiting the Cape Coast Castle to exploring the lush rainforests of Kakum National Park.


Dates: 

  • 5-Week Summer Term: late May through early July
  • One week of virtual internship + Four weeks onsite in Ghana
  • Post-internship reflections


Price: 

  • Application and Registration Fee: $95
  • Program Deposit: $200 
  • $5,900


Included: 

  • Housing (Hotel) with daily breakfast
  • Internship 
  • Professional development lectures on Fridays
  • Weekend cultural activities
  • Welcome and Farewell Dinners


Not Included: 

  • Travel Medical Insurance. Budget approximately $100-150 for insurance.
  • Visa to Ghana. Budget approximately $90.
  • Vaccines. Budget approximately $150-350.
  • Additional excursions, food, meals, or services not listed.
  • International Flights are not included, but can be booked through our agency. Budget approximately $1,400-1,700 for your roundtrip international flight from the USA.
